The Best Homemade Spaghetti Recipe

Hey everyone! I have decided to start a new series all about cooking. Cooking has been a skill that I have always wanted to learn, so in this series, I wanted to record all the recipes I learn from my mother (who is a great cook!) and also share it here. These recipes are delicious and simple!

The first recipe that I cooked with my mother was simple spaghetti. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti (full packet)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Coriander
  • Curry powder
  • Chilli powder

Steps:

  1. In a casserole dish, fill up the dish with water and boil it on the stove.
  2. Put all the spaghetti inside.
  3. Chop up onions, coriander and garlic.
  4. On another saucepan, add some olive oil (be quite generous with this).
  5. Add onions, coriander and garlic to the saucepan. 
  6. After adding it to the saucepan, add curry powder and chilli powder.
  7. Heat for 15 minutes both dishes.
  8. After that, strain the spaghetti and then add the spaghetti to the mix.
  9. Mix it together and leave it there for 5-10 minutes.
  10. Your dish is ready! Sprinkle extra cheese on top if you want.

This was my first recipe completed which is simple healthy pasta. You are free to add more spices/some vegetables to this spaghetti or you can add other pasta such as penne or farfalle.

You can serve about 3-5 people with this, depending on the serving of each person.
