Have you ever heard of Millennium Bridge? I visited this place a couple of months back and truly understood its value. So this is why this summer, I visited this place again with my sister. I really liked the experience and how it led me to my next destination (read the next article). So is Millennium Bridge truly overrated?

What is the Millennium Bridge?

Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension bridge that connects Bankside with The City Of London. This famous tourist attraction has also been featured in many movies including ‘Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince’, and I believe in the Bollywood movie ‘Housefull 3’.

What did I like about Millennium Bridge?

  • I really liked the view as you walk on the bridge – you can see St Paul’s Cathedral and the River Thames was reflecting the beautiful sunshine.
  • It was the perfect place to take many pictures.
  • It was very crowded due to pedestrians having to cross to the other side and also because of its popularity.

What didn’t I like about Millennium Bridge?

  • There wasn’t anything, in particular, I didn’t like except that you should hold on tight to your valuables as you would not want it to fall in the water.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would recommend it because it is popular for a good reason, it lets you cross to the other side and you get to see the River Thames. What more do you want?

This was my short review or diary entry about Millennium Bridge. These are my opinions about this place. Make sure to check out my other articles:

Should You Visit Cutty Sark? https://surobiscribbles.com/should-you-visit-cutty-sark/ Tue, 22 Oct 2019 13:55:51 +0000 http://surobiscribbles.com/?p=400

One of the places near The Queen’s House and The National Maritime Museum is Cutty Sark. It was definitely very beautiful to look at from the outside even though I didn’t go inside. But, would I approve of this place?

What is Cutty Sark?

Cutty Sark is a British clipper ship that is an award-winning visitor attraction in Greenwich, London.

What did I like about Cutty Sark?

  • I liked how it was a very unique attraction – it was a high ship that is not very common.
  • It related to the River Thames that was just nearby.
  • It truly has an amazing view of London from the ground and it was very relaxing.

What did I not like about Cutty Sark?

  • You do need to walk quite a bit from the University of Greenwich to Cutty Sark, so if you like walking, this is for you. But it can get boring after a period of time as there aren’t many activities available.

Would I recommend Cutty Sark?

Yes, I would recommend Cutty Sark because it was very relaxing and it’s perfect to take some pictures.

Have you ever wanted to fly? If so, then you have clicked on the right article. The Emirates O2 Cable Cars are where you can see the extravagant beauty of London whilst sitting in your own cable car. It is totally like a flying car and it goes above the River Thames. It does cost money but for me, it was definitely worth it. Today, I will be sharing my true feelings about this picturesque journey:

What is Emirates O2 Cable Cars?

The O2 Cable Cars are cable cars that go 300ft up to see a whole view of London. It takes about 1o minutes out of peak hours to finish the journey from one side to the other.

What did I like about Emirates O2 Cable Cars?

  • First of all, I could see the beautiful London so this in itself was amazing.
  • I also enjoyed the relaxation and peace it gives as I and my sister got to chat while being 300ft up in the sky.
  • The price was very low according to the fact that you could see so many tourist attractions in one go.

What didn’t I like about Emirates O2 Cable Cars?

  • There was nothing in particular that I didn’t like.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would highly recommend it. It is a must-see tourist attraction in London and was definitely worth the money for me. However, it is not recommended for those who are too scared of heights.

The Best Unknown Places In London https://surobiscribbles.com/the-best-unknown-places-in-london/ Mon, 23 Sep 2019 18:58:15 +0000 http://surobiscribbles.com/?p=268 It’s no surprise that London is home to many of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, rich history and marvellous sightings. I am grateful to have lived in London for more than eight years now, and I have been travelling to many of the hidden treasures of London. So in today’s article, I wanted to share the unknown places in London that I have cherished and I have loved visiting. Stick around to go on a brilliant journey around London:

St Dunstan In The East Gardens

This is an ancient church which its ruins are now a public garden. It still looks very beautiful and I would highly recommend it if you want to feel some rich history in a natural garden.

Peter Jones And Partners

This was a very cool department store for me to step into, not only because it has six whooping floors with stationery, furniture and clothes, but it was also because I watch Dragons’ Den and Peter Jones is in it!

Peggy Porschen Cakes

If you want to go to a chic bakery where you can take some amazing Instagram pictures with colourful flowers, but also buy some wholesome cakes, then Peggy Porschen Cakes is for you!

O2 Cable Cars and the O2 Arena

If you want a spectacular view of London, then the O2 Cable Cars are an amazing way to see it. Just step into the Emirates Cable Cars in Greenwich and sit comfortably – you will love it. Whilst you are there, you may as well step into the O2 Arena and look into the outlet shops.

Brick Lane

This is, by far, one of the most diverse places I have been to. In here, you will see some creative graffiti art, people of different races and you will definitely feel welcome here.

Nomadic Community Garden

Another peaceful garden that I adored due to the nature and graffiti is Nomadic Community Garden. It has a farm inside it too!

Bethnal Green Gardens

Whilst you are near Bricklane, you may also want to take a look at Bethnal Green Gardens as it has a memorial and beautiful flowers. It truly is peaceful and colourful.

Restaurants

You may want to visit some of the restaurants and buffets in London as they can be considerably cheap and have a variety of tasty food from different cultures. An example is the German Doner Kebab shop.

Trafalgar Square

I wanted to add this place to the list because surprisingly, some people don’t know about Trafalgar Square. It is in the city of Westminster, is very tall and perfect to come with your loved ones.

Galleries

There are numerous galleries and museums in London. Examples include Tate Modern, The British Museum, National Maritime Museum and the National Gallery. You can see some wonderful art, ancient statues or even read some old scriptures.

Daunt Books

For all the book lovers and knowledge-seeking individuals, Daunt Books is for you! In here, you will see books from all over the world and is a spectacular book shop. It was also very quiet and calm when I went there!

Neal’s Yard

Another undiscovered treasure is Neal’s Yard, a place to chill with your friends and walk up a narrow lane of colourful houses.

The Queen’s House

No, I don’t mean Buckingham Palace (joke created by my sister), I mean The Queen’s House in Greenwich. It contains some nice rooms and a lot of history. Inside is also Tulip Stairs which are some elegant looking stairs.

Greenwich Foot Tunnel

This is a deep long tunnel that crosses beneath the River Thames. It is small but you may want to have a glance!

Bermondsey Beach

Yet another amazing way to see the River Thames – Bermondsey Beach. You can see the London Bridge and relax whilst looking at the water!

Millenium Bridge

The next awesome place is the Millenium Bridge where you can also cross the River Thames, see the cruises going by and feel the wind gushing.  Right next to it is St Paul’s Cathedral, which is a very famous church.

Clapton Pond

This is a small pond and there are also nice plants and flowers nearby. It is very tranquil.

Parks

There are many parks, greenery and gardens in London where you can exercise, have picnics and enjoy!

Sky Garden

Sky Garden is amazing for its view of London – I can’t even describe how beautiful it is! It also has some exotic plants inside which will catch your eyes!

These are over twenty of the uncommon hidden treasures of London! I have enjoyed going to these places alongside many other places around London such as Buckingham Palace! I hope this helps you to enjoy your time in London and see these precious places. Make sure to stick around for more articles! If you liked this one, check out my other articles:
