What is Neal’s Yard?

Neal’s Yard is an alley where there are little cafes and coffee shops and it has many colourful buildings.

What did I like about Neal’s Yard?

• I loved the atmosphere as people seemed to be enjoying their time and it was a bit crowded when I went there.
• I also really liked the colorful buildings; it was perfect to take some pictures with.

What didn’t I like about Neal’s Yard?

• I wasn’t sure if there was Halal food available as there are bars in the alley as well.
• Because it was very narrow, it was hard to get through so I and my sister only got to sit there for about 5-10 minutes. 

Would I recommend it?

No, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it because I just felt that it was very narrow and I didn’t feel like it was special or an exciting place to be. But, if you want to see some colourful buildings, then I would probably recommend it.

• I loved how it was the ideal place to seek knowledge as ‘knowledge is power.’
• It has an antique vibe to it as it is an original Edwardian bookshop
• The bookshop has something to offer for different ages and different purposes.
• It was really organised so it was easy to find books easily.
• It is also very relaxing and quiet when you go there, perfect to relax a silent afternoon looking for your next book, or just reading.

What didn’t I like about Daunt Books?

• There was nothing, in particular, I didn’t like.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, since it was definitely not an average library. I also ended up buying a fiction book too!

When I read a few novels which were written by London or British-based authors, I stumbled across the place ‘Camden Market’ a few times. I wondered what it looked like so I headed down the streets of Camden Market and I was taken aback. In today’s article, I will be describing the area from my eyes:

What is Camden Market?

Camden Lock or Market is one of the world’s most famous markets and is a very popular place for its creativity, trading and craft workshops.

What did I like about Camden Market?

• I loved that it had many stalls open, with the bustle of residents shopping for cheaper.
• There were many food stalls available from different cuisines all around the world.
• There were also many souvenirs available, especially if you are a new tourist in London.
• Overall, it was also very diverse as there were stalls set up from different origins and filled with beautiful art near stalls.

What didn’t I like about Camden Market?

• I didn’t like it how it was quite hard to find shops as I and my sister spent a long time looking for the stall we wanted to particularly visit.
• Also, I didn’t know if there were any Halal stalls available as the stall we went to was not Halal.

Would I recommend Camden Market?

Yes, I would recommend it because it was much bigger than expected, it was very diverse and even if you don’t buy anything, it’s good to take a peek. But I struggled to find Halal eating places personally.

Open markets are one of the things that makes London special and popular. Even though I prefer to shop in malls, I still like visiting the markets and feeling the bustle of customers. The perfect example of finding this was Old Spitalfields Market. But would I spend my money there?

What did I like about Old Spitalfields Market?

• I loved the hustle and bustle of the place as many people were shopping. This gave me feelings of being in a community.
• It was also cheaper than malls so it is good for those who want to shop for cheaper.

What didn’t I like about Old Spitalfields Market?

• I didn’t like how it was dark when I went and I was actually going around closing time.
• Also, I went when many of the shops were closed so I didn’t get to see that much.

Would I recommend it?

No, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it because I went around closing time so I didn’t get to see everything (not the market’s fault). But it’s good for those who want to shop for cheaper.

Diversity and multiculturalism are amazing. I have always been grateful to be living in a diverse place like London where you are not judged for your skin colour, religion or fashion sense. However, I truly felt diversity when I headed down the streets of Brick Lane. These narrow streets caught my eyes of many different colours of people and art. So did I like this place?

What is Brick Lane?

Brick Lane is a street in the East End Of London, with open markets.

What did I like about Brick Lane?

• If I haven’t mentioned it enough already, I loved the diversity. People of all ages and cultures were walking down the streets which made me feel welcome.
• There were many different types of shops and vintage markets and even though I didn’t buy anything from Brick Lane, it was cool to see them.
• There was street art which was very creative and brightened up the streets.

What didn’t I like about Brick Lane?

• I disliked how the streets were very narrow so when vehicles passed by, it was quite dangerous for me. This also meant there was overcrowding on the streets.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would recommend it but I struggled to find Halal eating places even though there may be some. So I would say it would be better off eating from somewhere else if that is what you are looking for.

After my amazing trip in the O2 Cable Cars, I visited the O2 Arena with my Starbucks Peach Iced Tea and my sister. The O2 Arena was like a big mall in itself which was also beautifully decorated on the ceiling. There were a variety of outlet shops inside such as Tommy Hilfiger, The Body Shop, Nike, Ted Baker, Lindt shop and many other wonderful stores.

So is it really worth going there?

What is ICON Outlet at the O2?

It is a variety of outlet shops in the O2 Arena that is stylish and includes many accessory shops and eateries.

What did I like about ICON Outlet at the O2?

• I loved how there were many familiar stores that had something to offer and they were also really big.
• I loved the environment as the mall had a fresh clean look to it due to the palm trees.
• I also enjoyed how it was quite busy and diverse which made me feel welcome to see all these different products in-store.

What didn’t I like about ICON Outlet at the O2?

• I wished that I saw some new shops as most of them were very familiar but I still really enjoyed visiting this amazing place. But there was nothing, in particular, I disliked about the place.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would highly recommend it as it is a nice view outside and there are many things to offer inside.

One of my favourite foods is cakes so I was delighted to go on this cake adventure. I went to Peggy Porschen Cakes with my sister and it was definitely one of the most beautiful places that were filled with fresh flowers. I and my sister bought the ‘Summer Berries Iced Tea’. I really enjoyed my experience so here are my opinions about it:

What is Peggy Porschen Belgravia?

Peggy Porschen Cakes is a cupcake shop which sells many desserts and drinks such as iced tea, cupcakes and many other foods. It is mostly popular for being very similar to Elan Cafe which is a famous Instagrammable spot.

What did I like about Peggy Porschen Cakes?

• I liked how it was colourful and very pretty, filled with fresh flowers and it really was a beautiful icon spot to take pictures with your loved ones (perfect for couples).
• I also loved how the shopkeepers were very kind and inviting and gave recommendations on what to have.
• I admired all the little deserts they had to offer which is quite different from the ordinary cakes you buy from grocery shops.

What didn’t I like about Peggy Porschen Cakes?

• It was actually much smaller than I expected as from outside it looked tremendous. This meant it was also crowded due to its popularity, so we didn’t find a free table.
• The cakes were also expensive so I wouldn’t advise spending money there for a small cupcake.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would recommend it as it is very similar to Elan Cafe and it is the perfect icon spot to take pictures and spend time with your loved ones.

Have you ever watched Dragon’s Den? I definitely have and one of the respected Dragons in the show is Peter Jones. When I first researched him on the Internet, I was taken aback by the fact that he has a huge department store in London! I was very excited to visit the place and here are my honest opinions about the store:

Peter Jones And Partners is a large department store in London, located specifically in Sloane Square. It is actually owned by John Lewis.

What did I like about Peter Jones And Partners?

• I loved how big it was. It has six whopping floors and each floor had something new to offer.
• You could find everything – food, technology, stationery, furniture, clothes and more! 
• It was very clean and organised when I went so it was very peaceful to just walk around the store.

What didn’t I like about Peter Jones And Partners?

• After a short period of time, you can get bored, especially if you are a student like me and my sister.
• Everything is also quite expensive so it would not be worth buying from there if you are just a student.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, I would recommend it because it was worth looking at each floor, going on the elevators and just enjoying your time there.

One place I visited during the summer holidays was Leadenhall Market. It was an open market filled with many small shops and amazing decoration. In today’s article, I wanted to express my views of the place.

What is Leadenhall Market?

Leadenhall Market is a covered market in London that has a Victorian roof and is perfect to take some amazing pictures in. 

What did I like about Leadenhall Market?

• I loved the Victorian roofs and walls that really added an elegant touch to it.
• It contained shops that have places readily available.
• It also allowed people to meet up with others.

What didn’t I like about Leadenhall Market?

• I didn’t like how it was much smaller than I expected. The entrance I came through had very small corridors.
• It was also really hard to find shops, for example, I was searching for a particular shop and I ended up not finding it.

Would I recommend Leadenhall Market?

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Leadenhall Market just because I felt that it was really small and I would rather shop in a mall but it is perfect for those people who want to take some Instagram pictures there or shop there.
