Koz Restaurant: Is This The Authentic Turkish Food You Must Try?

My family and I are lovers of Turkish food, so with the £10 Eat Out To Help Out Scheme, I, my mother and sister decided to go to a new restaurant we had not tried before which was Koz Restaurant in Leyton. We went on Monday 24th August 2020. But did this place really satisfy me and my family’s expectations?

What is Koz Restaurant?

Koz Restaurant is a Turkish restaurant in Leyton. It is described to be a late-night, cosy and casual restaurant.

What I Ordered And My Opinions On It:

  • My family and I ordered a Koz Jumbo Mix Platter which was 4-6 people so of course, we had to take some of the food home for my brother and father. It contained (as per this link) Skewer Lamb Shish, Skewer Chicken Shish, Skewer Adana, Lamb Doner, Chicken Doner, Chicken Beyti, Lamb Chops (2 Pieces), Lamb Ribs (4 Pieces), Chicken Wings (8 Pieces), Cold Mezes (Tarama, Dolma (4 Pieces), Kisir, Ali Nazik), Hot Mezes (Hellimi Cheese (4 Pieces), Falafel (4 Pieces)).
  • This was a lot of food. Altogether, the food was delicious but I also wish there was a bit more spice.

The Service:

When I and my family went, there were no customers inside but as time progressed, more people came. The staff were nice and it took a reasonable amount of time for them to come.

The Place:

One thing that I did not like about the restaurant is that unless you sit in the middle, the side tables were very dark and as a person who does not like dark restaurants, I found this a bit unpleasant. However, the restaurant itself was a reasonable size and quite clean.

Would I Recommend It?

I would recommend this place as I and my family love Turkish food and it was just a typical Turkish Restaurant very similar to Maedah Grill. It is also not too spicy so it is quite family-friendly.

My Rating:

This was my short review or diary entry about Koz Restaurant. These are my opinions about this restaurant. Make sure to check out my other articles.

Thank you for reading, and have a lovely day!
